These terms apply to the Lucarne app. By downloading, installing, or using Lucarne, you accept them.
A beta
Lucarne is currently a beta: a version for testing, not a final release. It may contain errors, and errors are more likely than in a final version. Its features, its interface, the way it stores your library, and these terms may change or be removed at any time, without notice. Libraries, settings, and other data made with the beta may not carry over to later versions. You use the beta at your own risk; keep backups of your photos.
No warranty
Lucarne is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Lucarne will be free of errors or interruptions, or that it will meet your needs.
Your photos and data
No software is perfect. Your photos, edits, library, and other data may be lost, damaged, or changed, for reasons that include software errors, hardware failures, system updates, other software, AI assistants, and your own actions. We cannot guarantee that this will not happen. Keep your own backups of everything that matters to you. By using Lucarne, you accept the risk of losing data.
AI features
The results of the AI features are generated by models. They may be inaccurate, may add detail that was not in the original, and may change content in ways you do not expect. You are responsible for reviewing the results and for deciding whether they suit your purpose.
AI assistants
Lucarne lets you connect AI assistants provided by others. We do not control these assistants, their providers, or what they do. An assistant may make mistakes, including changing, exporting, or otherwise affecting your photos and data in ways you did not intend. You are solely responsible for the assistants you connect, the permissions you give them, and their actions.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, photos, or profits, or for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Lucarne, its AI features, or the AI assistants you connect to it.
Changes
We may change these terms at any time. The date above shows when they last changed. Using Lucarne after a change means that you accept the terms as changed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection that the mandatory laws of the country where you live give you.
