Release notes
Updated
Lucarne checks for a new version once a day and shows what it brings; this page keeps every version’s notes in one place, the latest first.
1.2.0 Beta
New
- Drag photos in from the Photos app, a web page, or Mail. Lucarne asks first, then copies them into Pictures › Lucarne › Copies, a folder for each app.
- Photos on their way into the library show at the top of the grid with their progress. Right-click to cancel one, several, or all.
- Settings › Storage shows the copied photos, and can delete them all.
Improved
- Photos from iCloud Drive and other cloud drives are downloaded where they are, then imported; they are never copied.
- Removing a copied photo from the library deletes its copy, after a clear warning. The photo in the app it came from stays.
- Removing photos or folders asks in Lucarne’s own card, with Cancel as the default.
- Exports go to Pictures › Lucarne › Exports by default.
- The backup Lucarne keeps when it upgrades a library is removed after 30 days.
1.1.1 Beta
New
- Right-click a folder in the library to show it in the Finder, to remove it from the library, or to switch off adding the photos put in it later.
- Import takes photos as well as folders: a folder comes in whole, photos by themselves.
- An Import button stays at the foot of the library’s sidebar.
Improved
- Photos and folders you remove from the library stay removed, instead of coming back when the library next looks at their folder. Importing them again brings them back.
1.1.0 Beta
New
- Drop photos or folders on the window to import them.
- The mouse wheel zooms the photo in Develop, and scrolls the filmstrip and the photo tray sideways.
Improved
- Exports meet the size you ask for exactly.
- Scrolling quickly through a large library stays responsive.
- Changing photos while you drag a slider no longer shows the last photo’s change on the next one for a moment.
- Two Macs sharing a library on one disk no longer remove each other’s temporary files.
- Skipping a version in the update card now holds.
- A smaller download.
